The Zaalite a spell caster who itches markings into their skin of woad and blood covering their bodies in runes, marks, and symbols of the Hells. They power their magic with blood and emotion increasing their power by whipping themselves into emotional maelstroms.  

Zaalites use themselves as magical circles and points of summoning. They draw on blood and emotion to channel power and summoning forth the Thralls of Zaal bringing in Demons bound to their whims. Zaalites slowly burn out becoming increasingly emotionally mute the more they draw upon their powers. In the end they become mere puppets of the will of Zaal. Servants to his devices. Zaalites who can maintain their minds long enough to gather great power can channel the magic and powers of various Demons. 

The Zaalites tend to be trained either by a lone master or in dream by Zaal himself. Tribes tend to only need one true Zaalite but they often maintain an apprentice.
