Creatures of Ithia Expanded: The Night Goblin.

An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.

The Night Goblin is the smallest species of goblin standing only a foot tall. They are made from parts of a dart frog, chameleon, and a stick bug, cannot reproduce, and can function outside of the Horde for extended periods of time. They are small scrawny creatures with no visible muscle or fat. They look to be almost entirely sinew, bone, and skin with pale blue skin, short stubby tails like a tadpole, and long pointed ears. Their skin develops colorful splotches where they’ve been burned.

The Night Goblin can alter its skin color to blend in with its surroundings while stationary, exhale a sleeping toxin through their breath, and can scale rough surfaces like a frog or spider. They have extremely night focused vision, can see in the Infared spectrum, and have keen hearing. They primarily communicate at subsonic levels but with effort can manage ranges audible to most other humanoids.

The Night Goblin is exclusively used as assassins and the acquisition of children to turn into fresh Greyskins.

The Night Goblin is the weakest of the humanoid species being a strong as a human infant. They lack the self-sealing blood of other Goblinoids and are blinded by bright lights often emerging only in the dark of night. Night Goblins are sterile due to the conflicting origins that were used to make them which limit their numbers to being produced by divine servants of Haltheris or Goblin Broodmothers.
