Creatures of Ithia Expanded: Goblin Brood Mother.

An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.

The Goblin Brood Mother is a larger Goblinoid standing four feet tall with parchment colored skin. They tend to naturally maintain a decent amount of muscle mass. They are made from a Common Goblin fed the blood of Haltheris, cannot produce new Broodmothers, but can produce several other goblinoids. They cannot function outside of the horde or generally without servants.

The Goblin Brood Mother has been crafted by Haltheris’ will to fuel the tides of the Horde. They can alter their organs rearranging, replicating, and expanding their innards to allow them to safely carry many fresh babies at once. Their bodies are highly adaptable to foreign DNA as they can carry other Goblin breeds and are able to store genetic material and replicate it and their own eggs to impregnant themselves. The oldest brood mothers can carry hundreds of children at once. Brood Mothers do have a stronger Horde connection to their offspring and with their blood blessing from Haltheris generally have personality which can bleed into their descendants. They’re as strong and durable as bugbears.

The Goblin Brood Mother produces hordes of Goblinoids, serve as goblin leadership, and serve to influence entire clans as their personalities taint the less sapient Goblin species. They also tend to wield a great deal of raw magical power from the constant flux of life they’re creating. In rare circumstances Brood Mothers serve as war leaders of the Goblins being very strong and durable when not carrying brood.

The Goblin Brood Mother has few weaknesses being technically demi-gods though when performing their main function, they’re normally immobilized or unable to function on their own and are highly reliant on servants to sustain their lives. They also are highly connected to the Horde and can’t last outside of its embrace.
