Creatures of Ithia Expanded: Texursus the Fae Orbs.

An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.

The Texursus appear to be orbs of brilliant colorful light and material matter. Some say they can make out small humanoid silhouettes dancing in these gleaming orbs. It is believed that Texursus can’t survive outside of their orbs but are probably a feminine humanoid like the rest of the ruling Fae. Descriptions include mentions of dragonfly wings, antenna, and mousy tails though as it’s impossible to see more than shadows through their orbs it’s difficult to compile their true appearance.

The Texursus can fly, shape and reform matter, mend material things, and project blinding and searing light. Their orbs comprise light and energy surrounded by a solidified light shell augmented with lacework of material matter, normally metal, but it can be wood, stone, or even Fury energies.

The Texursus and Tolivus are in constant struggle to maintain and decay the mortal coil. The Texursus do their best to keep the world from falling apart fighting against natural and meddling decay. Texurus when their bodies are broken, they leave behind valuable materials such as metals that are a hundred percent pure, solidified Fury energy, living wood as strong as steel, and pieces of sky.

Like most Fae Texursus are eternal and if their mortal body is destroyed, they will reappear at their designated bed. They never age and remain appearing as fresh adults, or whatever age they choose to appear as. They are highly vulnerable to Iron. Texursus are uncomfortable in wastelands and places where there is little life or structure. Texursus when flying making a noise like wind chimes and thus are easy to identify and are very poor at stealth.
