The most basic of the mindless undead include Zombies, Skeletons, and Wickermen. The Creation of mindless Undead is not an inherent sin as it does not bind the soul to the mortal coil. Consecrated ground repels Zombies, Skeletons, and Wickermen. 

-The most basic of which is the Zombie the skin is ritually marked by carving with a knife or application of woad or other coloration into tattoos. Intricate markings are applied to the heart. Zombies are more difficult to armor but as their flesh remains intact, they often are still wearing some of what they did in life. 

-Skeletons require much older corpses or ritually cleaned of flesh. The bones are bleached and runes in blood are marked on the bones. They are often armored by their creator if they have the resources.  

-Wickermen are the more advanced form of the most basic undead. It requires the skillful removal and preservation of skin, the more of the original skin and bones maintained the more powerful the Wickerman. The Bones are cleaned, and the etched in runes stuffed into the skin or sacking with as many bones and sticks as needed to give form. Then stuffed full of hay.  

These mindless dead have few abilities but are decent makeshift soldiers.  

-Zombies are slow, uncoordinated, but extremely durable with physical weapons being almost useless. The only way to kill a zombie is to destroy their heart. 

 -Skeletons made of older bones absorb magic more easily and while more fragile are far more capable of moving faster than fresher bones. Fresher skeletons cleaned of meat are slower but more resilient. Skeletons are less vulnerable to physical force but more resistant to magic and difficult to hit with ranged weapons. Skeletons exposed to elements of the Fury Planes can be augmented by it able to control and cast it as raw energy. 

– Wickermen can wield weapons, move faster than skeletons or zombies, and are almost unkillable to weapons. Wickermen are surprisingly strong for being bones bound up in a scarecrow but ones with their full skeletons and skins can throw a man dozens of feet. Wickermen can almost exclusively be destroyed by burning. 

These lesser mindless undead are used for relentless guards and expendable soldiers. Wickermen are used as more elite mindless undead but also find work protecting the gardens of mages as they make excellent scarecrows for birds and men. 

While brute force isn’t the most effective against Zombies and Wickermen it can be viable against Skeletons. As zombies age, they dry out rather than bloat and become vulnerable to fire, while Wickermen are especially vulnerable to it. Skeletons are resistant to magic.
