An Advanced Creature Profile by Vincent Groth.
The Hymenordor are humanoid fae with long antennae, yellow bodies with black stripes, a thorax with a stinger, and bee wings. Hymenordor can have the coloration and patterning of any form of bee, wasp, or hornet. The Hymenordor stand six inches tall with large eyes and like most fae appear feminine. Hymenordor features look doll-like with too long legs, inhumanly thin waists, too big eyes, and tiny noses. Their proportions give them an uncanny appearance. They have hair like flowing honey which is often the color of precious metals or gemstones. Their primary abilities rely on an incredibly powerful mind able to process vast amounts of information, organize, compile, and filter through it and are masters of logistics and organization.
The Hymenordor can hover, have omnidirectional flight, and their most deadly weapon is their stinger which will kill almost anything mortal and leave the immortal writing in unimaginable pain sticking to the soul when Fae shed their bodies and reform they’ll continue to suffer. This makes their poison highly valued by assassins regardless of species or mortal status.
Hymenordor harvest fae and mortal nectars and pollen causing plants to grow stronger and gain faetouched traits, produce the most delectable of honey which has been proven to extend mortal life, fight disease, and has healing properties when spread over wounds. Their stingers are prized for the heads of darts as they are extremely resilient, lightweight, and aerodynamic with structures to seep poison over the tip from a small reservoir. The stinger is stronger than steel, lighter than bamboo, and covered in small channels to naturally spread poison. The Alchemists use stingers for tools that are perfect for fine work better than most chisels. Hymenordor venom is used by Alchemists to create beautiful honey colored metal etching.
Like most Fae Hymenordor are eternal and if their mortal body is destroyed they will reappear at their designated bed. They never age and remain appearing as fresh adults, or whatever age they choose to appear as. They are highly vulnerable to Iron.
