Gods of Ithia Expanded: Malisara the Forsaken Swan.

Malisara. Goddess of Plants, Malice, Wildness, Serpents, and Arachnids.

Known across the plane as Malisara, Maliessence, Tiranikoia, The Goddess of the Damned, Lady of Chains, The Forsaken Swan, The Green Dragon, The Fall of Wilds, and The Broken Mirror.

Malisara is the Leader of the Gods of the Wild and a member of the Gods of Malice, the Fell Gods, The Mad Gods, and The Dragon Gods.

Holy Books: The Book of Crowns, The Immortal Scriptures, and The Book of Scales.

Malisara mother of the Green Dragons, Green Elves, and maker of the Pale Elves. Before her fall Malisara found her brother’s Na’Tally and Paladar leading their elven children to ruin. She found those who doubted the dogma turned from the violence and she took them in and gave them a place in her forests where they could live in peace among the Green Elves. When Na’Tally and Paladar learned of this betrayal they joined together and struck down their sister, bound her in chains, and left her in darkness. They hid their deeds from Zatolen and Vutha until Haltheris slipped his power into the tormented mind and broke their sister. She rose once more as Maliessence the Goddess of Malice and Spite. She remains chained too dangerous to let free. Most of the Gods try not to pay her any attention but Zatolen, Vutha, and Talisman still visit her trying to help her put her world back together.

Her Symbol is The Spider Cross – An eight-armed cross resembling, to a degree, a ribcage.

When active on Ithia. Malisara’s celestial body is the Flower of the Sun a constellation resembling a sunflower made of fire. While active plants tend to grow faster, larger, stronger, and life flourishes, all life, not merely the wanted bits.

Malisara’s Divine Realm is a small all white room her mind too broken to construct something new. Sometimes when shes more herself it fills with wild growth, jungle canopies, forests, plains, twisting to a point in the middle where the desert of her heart has become.

Maliessence has several artifacts of power including Sorriel a crystaline whip that when it strikes it spreads immense pain across the victim’s body.

The Corset of Green a tight black leather corset covered in green scales the wearer can turn into a green dragon, is resistant to poisons and is surprisingly well armored as well as able to fit under real armor and clothing.

The Circlet of the Wilds a circle of brambles and rose briars that blooms only when worn by those pure of heart. The Circlet allows one to command vegetation, create animate creatures from plant life, boost growth, and make you appear to belong with any animal that sees you. Beast and humanoid alike will view you as one of their species that belong in the space. This power is weakened the deeper in cities one gets.

Malisara could once take the form of the great Green Dragon Tiranikoia but since her fall she seems unable or at least unwilling to do so. She takes the form of a porcelain skinned goddess of unnatural weaponized beauty like Sultria. Though unlike Sultria this is no glamour it cannot be broken by force of will, but it can be resisted. Malisara is covered in cracks, bound in silk, and then chains her eyes are often red from crying and the only thing that keeps her modesty is her floor length black hair. Her body is bruised from her thrashings and scars cover her lips where she has bit herself in her fits.

Malisara now known more as Maliessence was once a god who tried to bring peace to the world but when bound by her brothers, filled with betrayal and resentment fueled the dark whispers of Haltheris until it burned away what was once a good person. Now as she tries to recover every growing city is like a poison to goddess of the wilds, every rising tower a needle, every poisoned river, and dying forest a penance. She has been emptied out and filled herself with what she had left spite, malice, and hatred. Though she still loves her children and cares for the Elves and Dragons she made and bore and loved but will never accept peace so long as those who destroyed her dreams yet exist. She grants her divine servants the power to control plants, take the form of and/or command animals, beasts, and specializing in serpents and arachnids, conjure poison, add animal characteristics to the self, and cause animals and plants to grow to unnatural sizes and strength.

Malisara is too far gone to want worship, but her followers still give her their love and prayers. They support their goddess while she is unable to support herself. They gather weekly in groves and circles and worship her name along with the great nature spirits. Druids and naturalists praise her name, and the Green Dragons do the best to honor their matriarch. They give to in sacrifice Seeds, Flowers, and non-believers. Worshippers of Malisara do not worship in any structure and worship in groves, circles, and woods where they dance in darkness and naked having taken potent psychedelic to try and become one with their goddess. There are several possible saints, but Malisara isn’t present enough to formally recognize them.
