Mire God? Goddess? A duality of both? Neither? Mire is not the most powerful of the Gods of Malice but is the most devious, manipulative, and cunning. Mire advises Haltheris, Tasmar, Daltmot, and Sultria a guiding hand. Mire moves us all turning friend to foe, twisting lovers away from one another, and spreading misery and pain in their wake. Mire is not one to monologue, or leave clues, not one who revels in meaningless prattle to stroke egos. Mire knows they’re the most intelligent one in any room and when they strike heroes die. Mire’s manipulations caused the death of the Bunny Goddess, the breaking of the Bull God’s mind, the Slaying of Kaldron, the Collapse of the Septrinian Civilization, The destruction of the Dreite, and countless people, nations, and people’s doom.
Their Symbol is Hidden Smile – A elegant mask with a gloved hand covering the mouth. A Keyhole stands on its forehead and the pinky finger is missing.
When active on Ithia, Mire’s Celestial Body is the Stiletto. A constellation resembling a thin bladed knife. It is the lightest constellation and is often impossible to find unless you know where to look.
Mire’s Divine Realm is a dark structure of smooth black stone, randomly switching gravity, traps, black light lamps, elegant designs, spectral dancers, a place like a monotone fever dream of a masquerade ball and a deadly gauntlet.
Mire maintains several artifacts of power including the Mired Mask a clean white porcelain mask that when worn allows the changing of one’s physical appearance, gender, and voice. No magic can detect these alterations.
The Cloak of Secrets is a long cloak that makes the wearer invisible and their movement mute. While wearing it only those who wish to hear you can understand your voice, others in range only hear indistinct whispers.
The Back Blade is a long and thin bladed dagger which comes to an almost needlelike tip. It is designed to slip easily between bones and armor plates. Its enchantments make its blade have no friction on inorganic material slipping over plates and sliding through gaps until it finds flesh.
Mire is always covered head to toe in elegant, thick, or layered clothing. Often switching genders even in mid conversation. Mire’s voice flows in pitch and tone in an endless loop of the sound spectrum. Mire does generally keep to more conventionally attractive body builds. Mire does tend to stick to the opposite sex when dealing with other gods more powerful than them such as Sultria, Haltheris, and Zatolen.
Mire is a secretive, cunning, and intelligent deity letting nothing of their true selves out when able. Mire pulls the strings of other Gods, manipulates, obscures, and twists the world around them and combined with Daltmot is believed to have caused the civil war between the Gods. Mire offers all you could ever dream but it will always come at a heavy cost of tears and blood. Mire is the brains and cunning their Alliance with Haltheris, Sultria, and once Daltmot. Mire grants their divine servants the power to bind secrets, turn invisible, manipulate physical appearance, instill control over simple creatures, make magically binding deals, and create wards that rely on cunning.
Mire is worshipped in secret, a game of intrigue where new converts must dance, manipulate, trick, and abuse others to worm their way into the cult following. Mire’s worshipped in balls, dances, and parties of desire and murder. They gather rarely as each true gathering takes a great deal of planning. They play their games in high society with high clerics often making their mansions perfect for their games of intrigue. They sacrifice sapient lives, but they must be conquered and slain while unsuspecting and unaware during their galas. If Mire has any Saints, they keep them concealed and hidden.
