Kaxis. God of the Reaping and Death.
Known across the plane as Kaxis, The Unspoken, The Lord of Ferries, The Reaper, The Final Mercy, The Silence, and The End.

Holy Books: The Buch der Kronen, The Book of Crowns, The Tosk og Hal, Gambri nuk Kunn, The Immortal Scriptures, The Book of First Flame, and The Book of Scales.
Kaxis is the final chapter of all things, he is the final act, the dotting of Is and the crossing of Ts, he is the final mercy. When there is nothing left but pain or numbness, when the darkness falls so thickly no light can penetrate it, Kaxis appears to those destined to die and gives them peace. When cycles end Kaxis reaps the souls of the other Gods and submits to the ministrations of the Fairy Queen of Death.
His Symbol is the Harvest – A Scythe crossed over a bale of wheat.
When active on Ithia, truly active not as merely the Reaper but as a God the sky turns pitch black, and no other celestial body is visible. The only star that has been capable of breaching this darkness is the Scarlet Star. While active the world below is lit in strange abyssal dark light that allows the unseen to be visible.
Kaxis’ Divine realm is Wrecca where the more vicious, evil, and contemptable souls dwell in death. Though those with divine favor will probably end in Vigil. Kaxis watches the souls of the damned and helps them seek atonement, understanding of the pain they’ve caused, and eventually redemption to Cistern.
Kaxis’ sole artifact of power is Dreil. It is a shimmer, not bound by what even a god can truly comprehend. Only those so close to death that there is no salvation can perceive this scythe like weapon. It is the tool in which Kaxis separates the soul from the body.
Kaxis is a corpselike, half-mummified humanoid covered in layers of tattered shrouds. All that is visible are withered hands and two pinpoint blue eyes. A distortion of air shifts about one hand in the vague shape of a scythe.
Kaxis is calm and quiet, wishing only to be left to his duties. When not busy, he only spends his time with his sister Marlis or Avenus. Kaxis can be merciful granting those in need a few vital seconds to finish something important. Kaxis is never malicious and while bound to follow his duty as reaper does his best to be merciful. He grants the final mercy to all things.
Few people worship Kaxis and he discourages people from doing so. Kaxis dislikes those who worship death, but appreciates those who accept it, he believes mortals should pursue lives to their fullest. There are no formal structures to proper worship of Kaxis but people burn incense for him and leave out food beside those who have fought a long battle against disease and now come to face the Reaper. Some cultures believe in those facing death go out to a bar and buy the reaper a drink because in the end Kaxis is always there in your final moments. Kaxis has no prophets or saints.
