Cultures of Ithia: The Evari.

The Evari people originating from the Lands of Maria, the city state of Ebon, once ruled by the Nucras family. Ethnic Evari have pale skin, green or brown eyes, black or brown hair, and are average in height and build for Plains Humans. The Evari culture has enveloped numerous smaller native nomadic clans, some Dreite tribes, and at least one Dale people. Though most non-humans were slaves some cultural drift still occurred.

The Evari have rich foods augmented by the local flavor of Dophia and collected dishes from the conquests and trade partners in the great Humanic Empire. The Evari maintain the roads across western Dophia and cut down on any banditry plaguing imperial highways.

The Evari have laws requiring the worship of Mealis with in the Humanic Empire. They downplay other Gods and work hard to spread the pure will of their beloved goddess. They discourage pursuits of lust, species mixing, and anything that would cause impurity of mind, body, or soul.  They build large structures of polished stone, open courtyards, wonders that reach towards the heavens. They like highly refined art requiring a lot of capital, time, and effort such as grand Margoth, Markorathi, and Ashike operas, ballets, stage plays, orchestras, and museums.

The Evari believe in human supremacy, believing they shall unite all of man under one banner. Though the Humanic Empire is often in decline when not threatened from outside threats. The Evari lacking the technology to maintain an empire as big as the Humanic one or at least maintain their authority being on the western coast of Dophia giving them limited communication and martial force over other the more eastern kingdoms of Dophia. The Evari however are one of the most martially capable of the Dophian nations. They have their formal military the Evari Legion supplemented by the United Auxiliaries composed of Norish and Norgathi forces and the Evari Guard which all male Evari citizens must serve in. Every Evari man is trained and drilled in basic combat and warfare and sports of archery, wrestling, and speed helping maintain health and martial skills among citizens.

The Evari are a powerful nation maintaining trade roads using the Evari Guard for civic projects when not at war such as building roads, building public structures, and making large fields to build up grain supplies. The Evari are far more effective at projecting commercial power over the Empire and maintain a semblance of power by controlling the distribution of Magi and other organized spell casters. The Evari have made their language the trade tongue of Dophia due to its highly diverse assortment of cultures has made it a trade language used across the world along with Ashike knowing both languages probably assure the means to communicate in almost any trade port.

The Evari maintain powerful ties with the Norish and Norgathi and the three cultures have been entwinned so tightly that they can almost no longer function separately anymore. The Evari are the most powerful martial power on the western half of Dophia with a powerful navy, a large, organized military, diverse auxiliaries in times of imperial wars, and powerful levies well trained in building earthworks, buildings, roads, and siege craft. The Evari maintain large supplies of grain, roads, and supply convoys. Though of the four great human empires the Evari are constantly on the defensive being roughly in the middle of the Marok, Vigint, and Axandrians.
