The Sorrow Mages have no formal organization to their ranks; many learning their craft by accident Sorrow Mages are often easily identified by their mangled, malnourished, and scarred bodies. They tend to form in tribal societies or ones with lower development and standards of living. Strangely they also appear in overly decadent societies as well. 

Sorrow Mages drain their emotions, mostly pain, despair, fear, sorrow, and other negative emotions burning them for raw power and leaving them with a sick emptiness for a while. They are powerful casters who can overpower almost any other caster if they have a chance to channel their dying moments into a final spell. Sorrow Mages are short lived as their regular self-abuse and emotional trauma leaves them eventually unable to process or feel emotions properly. Sorrow Mages tend to have a natural bend towards using magic associated with their burning emotion. Calling upon fire during rages, storms during turmoil and strife, though they are not actually restricted to this.
