Creatures of Ithia: Centaurish Creatures.

The Taur are a group of creatures with the bottom half of a beast with at least four legs and a humanoid upper body.  

The Hourataur is one of the largest of taurs with a gorilla like lower body, a humanoid torso with large clawed hands, and a large flat head with a large bone plate, a mouth like an alligator turtle, and large horns. They have long tails ending in a boney mace. They are servants of Zatolen and form small tribes across the world. It is said fighting one in hand-to-hand combat is required to join Zatolen’s clerics. 

Vougutaur are large, monstrous creatures with the lower body of a massive panther, a twisted humanoid torso, and a head like a mix between a panther and a man. They keep their hair in long braids and wear thick hide armor. Vougutaur are vicious servants of Zatolen and spend most of their time in nomadic tribes raiding borderlands and fighting among themselves. Voug value martial dominance in their small clans. 

Arachataur are large, monstrous creatures with the lower body of a spider, a feminine upper body, large, clawed forearms, and horns over pointed ears. Arachataurs are servants of Maliessence and can spin glamour like webs to make themselves look like beautiful pale elves. Arachataurs are weavers of magic and silk making images, spells, and masterwork textiles for the Pale Elf lords. 

Harataur are smaller taurs with the lower halves of large rabbits, pale humanoid bodies, and large floppy ears. Harataurs are formed where the Chaos fae plane bleeds into the reality and causes strange warping of reality. As such they are almost exclusive to Dodicerous.  

Faunataur are another fae warping of reality. They are the lower half of a goat, looking to be bolster some by a touch of horse, and the upper body of a overly hairy humanoid with the horns and ears of a goat. 

Jagataur are powerful hunters of the jungle sporting the lower body of a jaguar with the upper humanoid torso spotted like a leopard. They have long silvery hair and have a powerful archery culture having no need for melee weapons as their pounces are sudden and deadly. 

Scorpitaur are powerful, large, and monstrous creatures in service to Maliessence. They dwell across the Lands of Kain sowing death and despair. They have the lower body of a giant scorpion with a long deadly striking tail, their upper body his covered in chitin as well roughly humanoid with a flat face, large horns mocking the appearance of pincers, and long arms with one arm sporting a pincer, the other endx in a functional hand. 

The Centaur are the most common of Taurs with the lower body of a horse, and the upper body of a man. They are fierce, nomadic, and sport a strong military culture around archery. They raid, pillage, and kill smaller settlements on flatlands and are known for their heavy circular rides where they rain down arrows upon their foes.  

The Hirosh are sickly monstrous creatures with the lower body of a mule, their forelegs are canine, their upper bodies a sickly green with hands that have frog like features, their mouths are wider than most humanoids with pale eyes, long tongues they can shoot forth, and curving horns they hang fish and beasts from when fishing and hunting. The Hirosh live along swamps, wetlands, and lakes. They are persistent hunters, can use very primitive tools, they are the least civilized and intelligent of the taurs. Their upper bodies secret toxins like a poison dart frog. Males tend to have bright colorations while females tend highly camouflaged for their environment.  

The Meridium are rare taurs found in the eastern lands with long webbed ears, their lower bodies are equine, their fore legs like a bear, their upper bodies humanoid with scaling, webbed hands with short claws, flat faces, long ears, sharklike teeth, gills, and a large, finned tail. They rule isolated coastlands, make deep underwater cities, fight the other aquatic species, raid, pillage, and revel in war. The Meridium have terrorized every coast of Ithia at one point or other, but their culture has caused their numbers to decline and have condensed their numbers down to lingering exclusively to the Dodicerous islands. 

The Kokutaur are a strong monstrous species of taur with the lower bodies of a cow and a humanoid upper body. They have large powerful jaws, long horns, and an obscene amount of muscle mass. Only one male per clan exists with females serving as warriors and providers. Kokutaurs are terrifying when enraged and maintain small farming settlements. They are while pursuing agricultural wants are vicious warriors almost twice the size of a Centaur they are known for trampling most foes only matched in strength and skill by Hourataur and  Vougutaur.
