Warrior Poet Hagane Kotoba master of the Grand Archives of the Ashike Empire. Where knowledge across the great empire was gathered. Hagane Kotoba is a master of sword, calligraphy, oration, poetry, and the found of the Sword Saints. He wears a ceremonial violet Dragon mask when in public and a cloak of violet painted iron scales. His katana Koufuku and his wakizashi Ninshiki are always by his side on his other side is a Jian, Yumi bow, and a quiver of bamboo shaft arrows. He has been granted immortality from Septriss and pursues stories from the Vigint lands though has a severe Ashike bias.
Speaker of the Dead Mortum Selkie last storyteller of the Dreite. Granted immortality by Dreous, Mortum Selkie journeys the world gathering the histories of his dying people. Much was destroyed when man brought whip and chain against them. When they settled and laid waste to cities, burned temples, and toppled their monuments. Much of the spoken histories of the Dreite is lost but wherever they might linger Mortum Selkie will seek them. A long-aged Jackal Dreite with greying patchy fur. His wrists scarred from chains, and a broken metal collar hangs from his neck. A great cloak of the tattered cloaks of the last great leaders of the Dreite people hang in a rainbow of tatters off his back with the blood stains from great chieftains, priests, and heroes. Mortum carries the blood and sorrow on his people so they might never forget.
Master Shaper Volgrad Simmerstone word shaper of the Dwar. He who etches into stone his spoken words. He whose voice breaks iron and steel alike. He who keeps and covets the stories of his people on behalf of Septriss and keeps them deep in the vaults of the Dwar. Where if the Dwar ever fade, if the Dwar ever die out, their histories, their hopes, their dreams, their written lives will live on forever. Volgrad is all mass, iron face mask, chainmail, decorative armor, and a great beard of golden curls braided in silver rings.
Sable the Messenger keeper of stories for the Everon. He who gathers the histories of the Everon people from across the floating Citadels and mountain peaks of Ithia. He gathers and compiles the words of his people for Septriss. He is a pale hawklike Everon with albino features. He wears a belt with feathers from all those who have told him a story giving his pale form a ring of bright color.
Minroe the Bladesinger the King and Firstborn of the White Elves. Demi-God son of Paladar. Minroe seeks the beauty of story. Seeking out stories of the Elves, mainly the White Elves, great heroes against all odds from all lands, heroic epics, and grand plays. He is beautiful with fine features, silver hair as long as the floor, and eyes silver disks. His words are often poetic and the elves frown on the long-winded works of man trying to find meaning the length they lack in life.
Matta Cam traveling scribe, explorer of the inner planes, reluctant hero, and maker of records. Matta Cam makes a few select compilations set in the planes. Mainly Matta Cam creates reference material for stories that touch on the planes by other scribes, gathers stories from the dead in Viwrath, acquire accounts from the gods in their own planes, and occasionally gets abduct by fairies. Many scribes seek out Matta Cam’s scholarly works. Matta Cam is a petite figure in thick black robes with pink scrollwork covering it. They have fine feminine features, large spectacles, and long silvery hair with mismatched eyes, one being replaced with a carved ruby. Matta Cam while reluctant to fight other peoples’ battles is one of the most powerful spell casters on par with Witherward.
Glous the Carver, the keeper of the Greenskin words. Few Greenskins are introspective, many are denied sapience by their great and terrible god. Glous, demi-god son of Haltheris, Cyclopes, and recluse has gathered the stories of his people and carved them across a great mountain. Delicate words cover the mountain turned terraced pyramid. Every inch covered in lore, every story carved out with care and filled with the lives of glory, victory, and defiance against all foes and Glous’ father’s ever tightening chains. Glous is all towering, tanned muscle, one great eye in a craggy head with small stubs where horns once grew. Glous’ body is covered in tattooed images of fallen heroes of the Greenskins; the ink made from the ashes of the very heroes they portray. Matta Cam covers his works and has managed to compile them into very interesting translations for scholars of history.
Merigold Gosling, once shepherd, once mother, eternal storyteller. Merigold Gosling or Mother Gosling compiles story tales, children’s stories, fables, and myths. She still recalls the children long faded that she raised before becoming an eternal Scribe of Septriss. Gosling is not part of the Hall of Heroes due to her regular conflicts with Lionguard. Gosling is a sweet old mother who has traveled the Humanic Empire spreading stories and collecting them. She has come to master the art of puppetry, shadow plays, and tableaus. She has learned, practiced, and created many new crafts to bring joy and entertainment to children everywhere.
