People of Ithia: The Dreite.

The Dreite once ruled over Dophia, they came to power during the collapse of the Septrinian Empire. Beastmen born of Dreous God of the Dead and Lord of the Underworld. Made each in a small aspect of their God. Humanoids of varying sizes, each sub-species is fitted into castes. Dreite all grow hair on their heads in addition to their fur. They once held a mighty empire before the Plains Human conquest.

The Jackals have smooth black fur, are medium height, and have bright golden eyes. The Jackals are both the religious and cultural leaders of the Dreite theocracy. The Jackals rule, lead, and preach the will of Dreous and are often the most magically blessed. Occasionally female Jackals are born albino and are the chosen mortal wives and high priestesses of Dreous. Jackals are fierce, proudful, and dominate. 

The Wolves have thick, rough fur, are medium to large in size. The Wolves are body guards, pack fighters, and raiders of the Dreite. They are fierce, vicious, and cunning with the expertise in fighting together. They are the ceremonial guard of the Jackals giving them a good deal of social status. The Wolves dye patterns into their fur, often shaving their stomachs to ritually scar and tattoo their flesh. 

The Lions have furred skin, males sporting thick manes, are large in size. The Lions are the leaders of the feline Dreite, rare, and filling positions of martial leadership. Lions have terrifying presences, thunderous roars, and are some of the most powerful of the Dreite warrior castes. 

The Fox Dreite have sleek fur with big fluffy tails and have an affinity for arcane magic being attuned with the Fox Goddess. Foxes are shy, cunning, and often dreamy with a pursuit of enlightenment through mind altering substances. They serve the non-religious side of spiritual pursuit expanding their minds in pursuit of understanding the world and their father god. 

The Tiger Dreite are large, hulking, sleek furred Dreite and are the second largest of the full Warrior Caste. The most intimidating of the feline, serving as elite shock-troop able to tear apart lesser Dreite with their terrible claws and vicious fangs. Most Dreite know not to challenge these great warriors in combat. 

The Dog Dreite are medium sized with various fur sizes, a diverse shape of face and head, and known for their desperate loyalty. The Dog Dreite make up the majority of the Warrior Caste. Some clans shorten their tails to make them less of a target in combat while others braid and decorate them with jewelry. 

The Leopard, Cheeta, Lynx Dreite are medium sized, with sleek fur, and swift athletic builds. Making up quick skirmishers and scouts of the Warrior Caste they are fiercer than the Dogs but hold less prestige due to their feline nature. 

The Cat Dreite are medium sized with a wide variety of fur color and pattern. They are the weakest of felines but make up the majority of settlement guards and law keepers.  

The Bear Dreite are large in size, with thick fur, large maws, and make up the majority of large heavy infantry. Fierce warriors known to fore go weapons when enraged and maul foes to death instead. 

The Hippo Dreite are large to massive Dreite, heavy set, with thick hide. The Hippos are the only herbivores that are full warrior caste members and while holding the least prestige because of this they are not trifled with being the largest, blood-crazed, and dangerous of any warrior Caste. Known for trampling foe and friend a like and being surprisingly agile for their bulk they make terrifying foes. Their bite can snap a man in half and their thick fat layer and hide makes most slashing and bludgeoning weapons far less effective. Known for their berserker nature most Dreite dislike to even fight beside the Hippos let alone against them. 

The Rhino and Elephant Dreite are large to massive Dreite, elephants tend to be heavier set with rhinos thinner and more visibly muscular. Both serve as heavy laborers, heavy militia, and walking bulwarks and strong points in combat.  

The Bovine Dreite are medium to large laborers and include Yaks, Oxen, and Cows. They are the backbone of the agriculture of the Dreite and out of farming season are formidable warriors. 

The Primate Dreite are medium, Dreite with thick fur, and agile fingers. The Primates made up of various species of primate including monkeys, orangutans, lemurs, and more. They serve as skilled craftsmen, scribes, and entertainers. 

The Pig Dreite are small to medium in size, heavier set, with thinner hide skin, some larger males grow tusks and take on a more boar-like appearance. The Pig Dreite take up roles as intellectuals, merchants, and serve as a general working class. 

The Ruminant Dreite are medium sized Dreite with sleek fur and made up of various deer, antelope, goats, and sheep. They serve the various castes as assistants, maids, entertainers, and help for stores and as servants of the higher castes. 

The Otter Dreite are sleek amphibious Dreite of small to medium size. They serve as fishermen, sailors, and work on ferry canoes. The Otters are masters of the coastlands. 

The Rodent Dreite are small and include squirrels, rats, and mice. They are the smallest of the Dreite and make up the majority of basic laborers.
