Writing Worlds with Words

People of Ithia: The Dwarves.

The Dwar’Ai, Dwar, or Skor are one of the greatest remaining civilizations having been chased beneath the surface of the world by the Septrinian. Males average four feet and eight inches in height while females average four feet and four inches. They have almost twice the shoulder width of a human, thick bones, and have paler skin due to their lack of sun exposure. The Dwar’Ai have thicker skin, denser bones, and more compact and added muscle mass than humans, elves, and even Orks. The Dwar’Ai males grow thick beards and acquire large amounts of body hair, females grow extremely thick and long hair very fast.

The Dwar’Ai are the third oldest species and had fought a long bloody war with the Elves, with them in the ascendance until the Septrinian came from Talis’Vrok and the near end came for both younger species. The Dwar’Ai are extremely capable of war fighting in formations that only death will break, A Dwar’Ai is thick and powerfully built when their formations crash into another the other breaks. When their black magic spit smoke and thunder and steal foes die. They worship their ancestors, bind their grudges to their soul and mark them on their skin, and are known for exporting the finest metal, stone, and warcrafts such as arms, armor, jewelry, cut stone, and mercenaries one can hope to find. The Dwar’Ai are wealthy living an opulent hedonism. Most Dwar’Ai struggle with vices of flesh or desire consuming and filling them with opium bliss. Even the poorest Dwar’Ai eat better than most humans. The Dwari’Ai have never lost a war save to the Septrinian. Humanity’s rise is due to the old and terrified who remember the scars the Septrinian left across their people leaving in most a fear of the surface and traditions to save their people from the nightmares of the surface.
