Creatures of Ithia: Monstrous Horrors.

Monsters are a type of Horror made by Sultria’s whims. Generally humanoid in nature, masculine, and twistedly monstrous. They have numerous kinds with specific weaknesses and strengths.

Gremlins are small grey, green, or brown skinned creatures with leathery skin, large batlike ears, small glowing eyes, and two rows of spikes running down their back. Gremlins are Monstrous servants of Sultria serving as scouts, light infantry, scouts, and raiders. They are vicious, tenacious, and suicidally dedicated. Larger Greater Gremlins keep their smaller kin in line.

Gurghast are pale eyeless monsters with large mouths of savage teeth for cracking bone. Their lipless maws cause saliva and drool to run down their emaciated bodies. Gurghasts are expendable mass infantry often armed less than even Gremlins. Gurghasts tie up enemy forces, delay, harass, and tire forces to weaken and disrupt them for the real horrors.

Scissorman are large parchment skinned monsters with too many limbs ending in boney spikes. Dozens of hands flail and reach out. They have a love of scissors and use them to harass children and adults alike.

Hollow are what appear to be the animated walking skin of a humanoid creature. These empty husks attempt to pull themselves over a living host while they’re incapacitated and use them to fill less empty and break them down dreaming of replacing them even though they will never be any less empty.

Bronze Hounds are what appear to be a humanoid with their heads and chests dipped in bronze and shaped into a dog like body and head. Bronze Hounds are surprisingly powerful, fast, and effective scouts and skirmishers.

Gnashers are large, stout, eyeless horrors with heads that are all maw and too-big teeth. Gnashers are so fat they are almost spherical. Gnashers are walking bulwarks of rotting flesh and are extremely resistant to physical force.

Gort are large, pale, hairless brutes with flat noses, short horns, and a sick, doughy bodies that conceal unnaturally powerful muscles. Gorts are some of the main line troops of Sultria.

Harscream are large horned grey-green monsters lacking chins and sporting long thin ears. They have bright glowing eyes and let loose wailing screams that spread unnatural terror in those who hear their call.

Vergamont are medium-sized brutish grey skinned creatures with red skulls exposed. Their forearms are covered in quills which they can fire off at foes from a far. Some variants of Vergamont can spit poison.

Visionaire are large brutish creatures though the start of the elite Horrors who might be armored rather than just armed. Visionaires are blind but can detect life-force seeking out enemies of Sultria through mundane barriers. They are tough, capable of regeneration, and inhumanly strong.

Terrorclad are hulking monstrosities roughly humanoid and encased in enough armor even the weapons of gods might struggle to injure them. They have a single brilliant glowing violet eye which is the only vulnerable part of them. Terrorclads are the enforcers of Sultria serving as her honor guard when she is on the mortal coil.

Crowel are twisted humanoids with pale skin, too pointed faces, eyes with bags upon bags, antlers, and thin-lipped mouths that spread ear to ear. They are arcane wielders and advisors to the Harum.

Harum are large skinless nightmares wearing their muscle and bone for all to see. A cloak of shadow covers their back, and a mask of bone covers their faces. They serve as Liutenants of an Orator and are extremely intelligent strategists, logistic experts, and mages.

Nuckelavee are twisted monstrosities lacking skin and appearing to be a man fused with a horse. They are the vanguard and heralds of Sultria’s spreading doom. They spread famine and disease in their wake weakening areas for the Horrors to come. Nuckelavee can only be truly killed by burning them.

Orators are Sultria’s Voice made flesh. They speak and ears bleed, they are seen and eyes weep blood, they attack, and men die. These tall, thin brutes lead the monstrous regiments of Sultria serving as extensions of her will. Orators have mouths to split open the lower half of their heads showing off rows of teeth and an impressive terror inducing screech.
