The Guild of Arcana and Chemistry, better known as the Alchemists, are a highly organized, militant, well-funded, and armed organization. Able to magically imbue, enhance, and extend the power of ingredients and chemical reactions.  They employ ‘black magic’ making long guns, revolvers, grenades, and slinging deadly concoctions to burn and melt foes.  Known for their sleek black chemical resistant coats, plague masks, heavy leather uniforms, and wide brimmed hat and hoods. Any social class can join the Alchemists, higher classes tend to start with higher ranks. 

Alchemists are one part scientist, one part doctor, and one part soldier they march in lockstep fighting plague and catastrophe. They make potions and weapons with their most iconic being the Black Powder the source of their darkest magic. When imbuing substances with their magic the Drain weakens their immune systems, makes it hard to breathe, and leeches calcium from bones. Alchemists need to live health lives or extended magic use can cause long term damage to the body.

Physic – Veteran and Elite Alchemists often teachers.
