Tal’Threar are humans of any sub-species who have made a pact with Ja Zoi, Tal Seir, and Nil’Brek. They are deathly pale, with hair of sanguine, crimson, white, or pitch black, and eyes of red, violet, orange, or pink. They feel intense heat and discomfort from sunlight. 

Tal’Threar struggle to express and feel emotions; they come off as cold and dispassionate. They serve as personal assassins for royal courts and noble houses. They feed off the life force of the recently dead or dying. The Tal’Threar can sink into shadows and travel through them as long as they’re wide enough to hold their form and are connected. Tal’Threar channel a deathly chill through their hands and, when using conductive weapons, can channel this cold through them.

Keepers are humans of any sub-species who have made a pact with Ondra Seir, Mara’Dia, and Fal Milly. They are milky white, with silver hair, and neon pink, violet, red, or orange hair. Keepers are Hematophagies.  

Keepers were made to combat the Tal’Threar, now the average retinue includes a Keeper and several Tal’Threar under them. They serve as spymasters and personal bodyguards of the elite.  They do not blink, and their eyes can see through unnatural darkness, illusions, shadow-based invisibility, and are never surprised. They emit light that matches their eye color, and their touch can burn and heat conductive weapons.
