Kaiden are originally from the Lands of Maria but now make their home in the Lands of Kain, also known as Kaidia. Kaiden males average five feet two inches and females average four feet six inches in height. They have darker skin than Plains humans with black or brown hair, and green or brown eyes. The Kaiden were exiled followers of the rebellion that helped bring down the Septrinian empire.  

Kaiden are cunning; capable of surviving the harsh trials of their desert continent. They have a strong sense of merit-based society and maintain status by personal or collective force. Kaiden have superior sight to other human subspecies having very good night vision and able to see detail at twice the distance of Plains Humans.  Kaiden have a strong archery culture and as archery is a national sport they spawn some of the best archers on the plane.
