Gods of Ithia: Samarind the Pale Rider.

Samarind. God of Lost Causes, Doom, and Redemption.

Known across the plane as Samarind, The Doomed God, The Pale Rider, The Redeemer, Master of the Last Stand, Lord of the Final Charge, The Offered Hand, The Impaled God, and the Final Chance. Son of Vutha and Talisman.

His symbol is the Unbroken Heart – A heart surrounded by a golden ring embedded with four arrows.

Samarind is a deathly pale corpse like man in tattered armor sitting atop a pale horse. Dozens of arrows, spears, bolts, knives, and swords jut from his back and body causing a trail of blood to follow him wherever he goes. His hair is grey and he continues forward between Life and Death.

Samarind is somber, he rides across the plane to find those in the greatest need to give warning and a chance to find hope. He is an Omen of Doom, those who see Samarind will soon look upon Kaxis even if it is only for a fleeting brush with death. Samarind grants his few divine servants the power to remove pain from themselves and others, the power to delay death on the severely injured and sick, summon ghost lights, speak with the dead, and numb terror.
