Line Keepers have no formal institutions and their magic runs through family blood lines. They can come from any social class but mostly are upper classes.  

They are strange casters each family having a single word burned into their souls. New Lines are rarely started but some carry on for thousands of years. Casting magic drains their WIllpower causing them to become impulsive, and vulnerable to pain and fear. 

Line Keepers do not have any formal organization and, thus, do not have standardized ranking systems. For every generation the Word of each Line grows more powerful. The first Lines made that have managed to last till modern Ithia are terrifyingly powerful.
