Writing Worlds with Words

Gods of Ithia: Aveirnoot the Harlequin of Ruin.

Aveirnoot. God of Ruin, Pain, Endings, and Sorrow.

Known across the plane as Aveirnoot, The Harlequin of Ruin, The End, The Pit Dweller, Hopebane, and The Ruinous Power. Son of Tasmar Orionus and Mara’Dia. He is said to herald the end fated end times.

His Symbol is The Remnant – A human skull painted up in harlequin designs, sometimes more clownish.

Aveirnoot is brightly colored, flamboyant, and done up as a harlequin. He has long rainbow ribbons trailing behind him. Those who have a chance to study him notice his awkward movements and twisted body as if every bone was broken and set wrong. His body shifts and twists like something too big is crammed into it. His smile extends past the edge of his cheeks, showing off too many teeth.

Aveirnoot is a bright and personable creature, too. Prone to fits of laughter and sporting a deep love of making music with death, collapsing buildings, wails, and the collapse of worlds. Very few people worship him, and he grants his few divine servants the power to break artificially made objects such as weapons, armor, and buildings. Where they walk, plants refuse to grow.
