General Traits. All True Dragons possess some degree of natural telepathy, arcane abilities, a Hordesweat, and shapeshifting.
Dragonstones or Draconic Gems can recharge magical reserves, empower magical spells aligned with their element, and in enchantments.
Noct’Krill’ra: The Red Dragons. The largest and most physically dominant sub-species of True Dragons. Sporting scales as dark as the last gasping light of a setting sun or as bright as polished rubies, a series of horns that swoop back like a cardinal’s head plumage, and spikes along the spine and tail. The Demi-God children of Talisman breathe fire four times hotter than any other dragon can achieve and are inherently resistant to fire. They have heavily armored scales resistant to most physical damage—they Hordesweat Draconic Rubies, which have an arcane affinity to Fire. The Red Dragons are naturally maternal and paternal, often taken in weaker, less capable species as servants, pets, and pseudo-children. Male Red Dragons are very rare.
Noct’Krill’Ra Firstborn: Matriosium the Mother Hen, Furiumkosis the Dead Sun, Alexiosium the Fire Heart, TIlikosium the Sun Chaser, Oriosium the Sheepherd.
Vaal’Koi’Ta: The Blue Dragons. The swiftest sub-species of the True Dragons. They sport scales as deep as the oceanic abysses and as light as the heavens, sporting horns that swirl almost ram-like forward and down, guarding their necks against rear attacks. The Demi-God children of Vutha breathe dragon lightning, which does not seek ground like regular electricity does; the follow-up thunderclap is often a terrifying oversight. They are lightly scaled with four swift wings capable of flying the fastest and longest. They Hordesweat Draconic Sapphires, which have an arcane affinity to Lightning. Their feet are webbed, and they sport gills covered when out of water. A very social species, they often find homes near other civilized species.
Vaal’Koi’Ta Firstborn: Valintorix the Herald, Storia the Cloudy Queen, Sylpria the Stormbringer, Storix the Rain Dancer.
Viar’Ru’Het: The White Dragons. The smartest sub-species of the True Dragons. They sport scales as white as snow from fresh fall to dirty slush, and their horns curve above their heads and merge together to form a pseudo halo. The Demi-God children of Paladar breathe frost fire, which draws in excess heat from its surroundings, causing frigid cold and enhanced burning on its target. They have an extra fat layer, small scales with a water-proof wax coating, and webbed claws. They lack the Blue Dragon’s gills but are capable swimmers: their Hordesweat Draconic Diamonds are attuned to Cold. White Dragons are unsocial creatures who often seek solace in thinking. Highly intelligent, they love to contemplate cerebral activities from mathematics to philosophy.
Viar’Ru’Het Firstborn: Moriator the Winter Rose, Sillador the Knowner of Fates, Axiator the Librarian of Time, Ohmidor the Conductor.
Drei’Lo’Chi: The Black Dragons. The most agile of the sub-species of the True Dragons. They sport scales in flat to glossy black and have thick horns that almost resemble butterfly wings. The Demi-God Children of Na’Tally breathe a stream of burning fluids that release highly corrosive fumes. They can deploy a neck fan to help dissipate or catch heat. They Hordesweat Draconic Onyx attuned to Acid. Black Dragons are social creatures who seek out servants and neighbors who are highly entertaining and are known to reward those capable of making them laugh, cry, or experience other such masterpieces of art and wit. Their smaller frames and wings give them the smallest turn radius when flying, and they have serpentine reflexes.
Drei’Lo’Chi Firstborn: Mastavix the Nightshade, Heratovix the Lady of Laughs, Harrotox the Craven Raven, Asphiatox the Black Death, Venoleavix the Basic.
Lo’Tast’Min: The Green Dragons. The most vicious sub-species of the True Dragons. They sport scales of green as deep as moss beneath the shadow of a thick canopy or as bright as a parrot; their thicker horns jut forward and out like small lances for gouging out the eyes of hostile dragons. The Demi-God Children of Malisara breathe a toxic cloud of gas, and inhaling it causes asphyxiation and rapid plant growth. Their heavily armored scales end in a curved spike; they Hordesweat Emeralds attuned to Nature. Green Dragons dislike the unnatural and find homes in nature tending to the ecosystems of their homes, driving off settlers and forestry work. Druidic circles sometimes worship them. They are the most vicious and well-armed of their kind.
Lo’Tast’Min Firstborn: Mirabari the Grand Fir, Toraborari the Green Goddess, Dewitoril the Mossbeard, Loamibari, the Idol of the Verdant Circle, Cosmyril the Seed Sower.
Grävare Ödla: The Tusk Dragons. They are the only flightless sub-species of the True Dragons. They sport earthy brown to rocky brown-grey scales instead of horns, and their large, sharp tusks are more than capable of tearing through even Red Dragon scales, though they are primarily used to break through rock and earth and reap harvests of grain. The Demi-God Children of Dwar’Vic, though they don’t have a breath weapon. The most well-armored of the True Dragons, an armored shell on their backs and the most developed hind legs allowing them to stand on their hind legs more stable than their kin for easier use of the thumbs all True Dragons have. They Hordesweat Hexaferrum attuned to Earth. Tusk Dragons are very self-sufficient, often making their farms and trading for mined minerals and materials. They can be sociable but have limited social batteries.
Grävare Ödla Firstborn: Ordivok the Mountain, Harleivok, Osovein the Ironblood, Tolkvein the Coalflame, and Lousvok the Mole.
Lichtgötter: The Bright Dragons. They are one of the two rarest of True Dragons. They are bright yellow to gleaming gold in color, haloed in light that blinds and burns the eyes. They have a range of horns that come off their head in a starburst-like mane. The Demi-God children of Mealis breathe lances of scouring plasma. Their Hordesweat is gold attuned to Life. Bright Dragons are one of the True Dragons with the least protection from the whims of their Mother; they dislike change, hate strangers, and like to preen before those who should worship His Majesty.
Lichtgötter Firstborn: Litormika the Purifier and Simalor the Scourer of Miladan.
Dunkelgott: The Dark Dragons. They are one of the two rarest of True Dragons. They are not black-scaled but a shadowy absence of light, an almost ethereal semi-translucence to them. They have a short crest on their head with small horns and sport long barbed tendrils on their back, which they use to grapple and bind their prey. The Demi-God Children of Zatolen create an orb of suction in their maws, absorbing energy and light and then spitting them toward targets to cause a destructive decompression and release of absorbed energy. They Hordesweat Lead attuned to Death. Dark Dragons are the most individualistic with the least control from their father.
Dunkelgott Firstborn: Octiergott the Devourer of Stars and Lorestaal the Merigod.
