Gods of Ithia: The True Mother

The True Mother. Goddess of Creation, Birth, Motherhood.

Known across the plane as Marian, Tazara, Dreia, Sienna, Wa’Naal, The True Goddess, The All-Mother, The Earth Mother, and Queen of the Gods. Some say Marian is the most powerful from the small selection of creator gods as her ability to create the descendant deities, mortal masses, and celestial hosts originate. She gifts mortals and gods with the ability to create life. The True Mother does not actively engage with the mortal world but mourns for the countless children she’s lost over the centuries.

Her Symbol is the Eye of Mari – an open eye with three tears falling from it symbolizing that while the mother weeps for the lost her eye is ever vigilant for those who still live.

Humanity portrays her as Marian and Tazara, a matronly beauty with golden curls and a pure white shift made sheer with her tears at all the death and destruction that occurs between her countless children. Some envisage her laden in gold, and others as a mourning mother in stark black. She grants her divine servants potent protective magic, healing, curse-breaking, and magic to ease pregnancy and birth.

Greenskins portrays her as Dreia, a great, powerful deity. She is a mountainous goddess who is heavily pregnant and ever-growing until the Tosk og Hal, when she’ll give birth to an unending wave of immortal warriors to wipe out all that stands against the Horde. She grants her divine servants healing, summoning of the Fury, and earth-shaping.

Dwar portrays her as Sienna, a mournful dwarven maiden with long golden braids that drag behind her for many feet. She is dressed in all white without any ornaments to show that she does not stand above anyone, even the lowest of beggars. She grants her divine servants healing, curse-breaking, earth-shaping, and magic to ease birth and pregnancy.

Elves portray her as Wa’Naal, the perfect elven matron taking on traits from the various elven species. With long, straight hair and a face scarred from constant tears. She wears a plain white dress bound at the waist with ivy. She grants her divine servants healing, protective magic, and magic to ease pregnancy and birth.
