They serve as the personal advisors, consorts, servants, and bodyguards of the High Queen and other high-ranked Nymphs. The Oberous are master warriors, experts in the arts of pleasure and relaxation. When not in service to a Nymph, they take up arms as masters of the Wild Hunt. The Oberous have an instinctual knowledge of their mistresses’ whims, needs, and desires.
The Striders are members of the ruling caste of the Nature Court. They stand an average of five feet tall and have extremely lithe and petite builds. They sport long tails with fluffy tips, big lionesque manes, and long horns that bend back over their heads. The Striders embody the Dance and move with such fluidity that their art bends reality in the Fae Realms. They intone beauty, change the pace of wars, twist the hearts of nations, and are slaves to the sound of music.
The Dryads are members of the ruling caste of the Nature Court. They are a mix of shapes and sizes based on the kind of tree or plant they represent, although they are always feminine. They have leafy or needly hair, with flowers and fruit. They can stiffen their skin to a barklike consistency, use natural magic, and command plants.
The Lux Tinea are members of the Order Court’s ruling caste. They are feminine Fae and are, on average, six inches tall, with long feathered antennae, large mothwings, and pale skin—their large eyes and hair blaze bright, colorful pinks, purples, and reds. The Lux Tinea lacks personal power but acts as an amplifier for the organization powers of Hymenordor, and it also possesses large-scale telepathy for organizing large sections of the court. They serve as personal assistants, lieutenants, and ambassadors of the Order Court.
The Movere Carmen are members of the ruling caste of the Order Court. They are androgynous Fae that stand three feet tall with long, powerful legs, four clawed arms, a fluffy mane, a face like a golden mask, and a long antenna. The Movere Carmen are cricket-like Fae who are masters of the Dance. They can perform songs to move the very essence of their fellow Fae. They can turn a full-blown fairy war into a dancing ball, turn tears into smiles, and make tragedy the first step on a triumphant rise.
The Pearlshapers are members of the ruling caste of the Creation Court. They are androgynous Fae that stand a foot tall, with coal-colored skin and big, solid, iridescent blue-black eyes. They have short black hair with pale flowers and vines growing from their heads. The Pearlshapers can gather, focus, and amass positive energy, using it for healing and creating specialized Fae Materials.
The Lifeherders are members of the ruling caste of the Creation Court. They are feminine Fae that average two feet tall, with long floppy ears, short curved horns, and tiny sheep hooves. They have long, wooly hair, large colorful eyes, small button noises, and short tails. They can create fairy beasts for the various fae courts.
The Flos in Flore are members of the ruling caste of the Life Court. They are feminine Fae that stand six inches tall with wings of blue gossamer; they sport headdresses of colorful feathers and flowers, have long golden hair, and are often sparsely dressed with an abundance of shiny jewelry and fabrics. They are one with the Dance and can reshape Fae with their infairy movements. They are the most powerful healers in the Fae courts and are the only means to remove scars from Iron and other wounding weapons.
The Sapfires are members of the ruling caste of the Life Court. They are androgynous Fae that stand eight inches tall. They have doll-like faces with bodies of hollow golden sapphire-stained glass wings, horns, and eyes that glow in the dark. Their bodies separate in the middle, where a large glowing gemstone floats, keeping them together. They absorb magical energy, collecting it, which they can allow allies to draw from or unleash in large bursts of curative or damaging novas.
The Ascende are members of the ruling caste of the Life Court. They are large masses of living grass with serpent-shaped tails, humanoid torsos, large arms, a featureless head, and a long glowing antennae. The Ascende can revive Fae essences rapidly rather than waiting for the natural Fae to respawn. They can even revitalize fallen mortals, though this is highly frowned upon by the Gods of Death.
The Licter are members of the ruling caste of the Death Court. They are masculine Fae that stand eight feet tall and are extremely lanky. They lumber about and serve the Aegrit as war leaders. They are intellectual creatures who are masters of strategy and tactics. While they prefer mental acuity, they sport claws that can tear through steel with ease.
The Fetches are members of the ruling caste of the Death Court. They are androgynous Fae with flat faces, furred limbs, and a strange abstract quality. They have four feathered wings and short horns. Fetches are difficult to harm and are tasked on behalf of the Fae Queens and influential entities to help save individuals from death.
The Duskin are members of the ruling caste of the Death Court. They are fairies with the appearance of skeletons coated in dripping tar. With raven wings and eyes glowing the soulful green of uranium glass, they are potent arcanists manipulating shadows, death, and curses.
Pumpkin Kings are members of the ruling caste of the Death Court. They are large masculine Fae standing twelve feet tall with four to eight arms, grey flesh, and a jack-o-lantern for a head. They are master composers able to lead the musically inclined of the death court with such mastery of the Dance they can bend other Fae to their whims.
The Hermetai are members of the ruling caste of the Ruin Court. They are masculine Fae with pale humanoid bodies that resemble graveyard statues. Mangled wings of a vulture, a crow, and a fly sprout from their backs, and thin wire hair hangs around their faces like a dirty veil. They are lords of decay, leaders of war, and philosophers. They command scavengers and decomposers.
The Waiht are members of the ruling caste of the Ruin Court. They are feminine Fae with a mannequin-like body and big witch hats with eyes and mouths. Shadowy arms reach forth from their shoulders and from where their dark dresses touch the ground. They are masters of the Dance, speaking words of power in the form of poetry and writing magnificent pieces. They are powerful manipulators of shadow and destroyers of the artificial.
The Veilen are members of the ruling caste of the Chaos Court. They are gendered Fae standing eight feet tall in full black robes with long horns that jut straight upwards. They have masks that mark their status in the Veilin order. The Veilin are masters of wild magic, able to twist and press it to their will. They are the personal advisors of the Ladies and Lords of the Chaos Court.
The Harkonai are members of the ruling caste of the Chaos Court. They are large humanoid Fae with four wings instead of arms and a large beaked, eyeless head. These large hulking fae creatures lumber on giant clawed feet and serve as the magically inclined brute enforcers of the Lagomalum.
The Circu are members of the ruling caste of the Chaos Court. They are feminine Fae standing eight inches tall. They have colorful skin, curly hair, and a mixture of jester and witch attire. The Circu are masters of the Dance, drawing upon it in humor and bawdy songs. They enjoy playing and twisting mortal and fae fates.
